Continue Using Your Desktop After the Course

A neat feature of DaDesktop is the option for participants to keep practicing on their course machine even after the class wraps up. Before the course ends, each learner gets an email asking if they’d like to hold on to their desktop for later use.

 

Normally, a participant’s course desktop is deleted shortly after the session finishes. If you want to keep yours to work through the labs again, you can clone it into a ‘Standalone Desktop’ for future access.

Simply go to your Course and Desktop machine, then click the 'Use desktop after course' button next to your machine.

 

DaDesktop then walks you through a straightforward process and lets you enable this feature.

After it’s turned on, you’ll see a clear confirmation next to your course machine.

To access your standalone machine once the course is over, open the Standalones menu at the top of your screen.

Machines that sit unused for a month will be removed, but you’ll receive an alert email ahead of time so you can keep it if you still need it.
