Create a Fresh Start from a Standalone Desktop

  1. Navigate to the course you’ve created—the example below shows a Demo course. Then, in the Desktops tab, click the dropdown arrow and select “Create from Standalone” to build your Fresh Start.

  2. Choose the “Standalone desktop” you previously configured for the course environment (software, course materials, quizzes, etc.).
  3. During this step, you can adjust the memory, CPU, and disk size as needed. Then click Create desktop.

  4. Now your Fresh Start is ready. Both the trainer and participants can clone desktops from it.

The Fresh Start is a course desktop that enables cloning to all participants and the trainer at once. Anyone in the course can restore from the Fresh Start if needed.

Through the ‘Cog’ menu, you’ll find many other options: clone the Fresh Start to a trainer, participant, or standalone machine; clone and resize it into a standalone; move the Fresh Start to a different server; create snapshots; review recordings; or set up a Remote Replica.

For more details, check out the documentation covering these features.
