Difficulty entering specific symbols like apostrophes, quotation marks, or inverted commas on a DaDesktop machine

This tricky issue crops up infrequently, often tied to your physical keyboard type, language layout, and international settings.

Please note, this problem occurs only on Windows

You can resolve it by following these steps:

  1. Start by typing ‘Settings’ into the Windows search bar.
  2. Select ‘Time & Language’ from the results.
  3. Navigate to the language option on the left sidebar.
  4. Under ‘Preferred Languages’, choose your language and then click ‘Options’.
  5. Next, click ‘Add a keyboard’ and pick the layout that matches your keyboard, such as the US layout.
  6. Remove any older keyboard layouts by clicking on each one and selecting ‘Remove’.
  7. Finally, test by typing single quotes, ‘ ' ’, double quotes, ‘ " ’ and backticks ` to confirm the fix.
